Notes: Rescued from Hamilton Animal Control, currently in foster care. Oscar is a very sad case. He was signed over to the shelter by his owners who claimed they ‘couldn’t care for him anymore.’ They left Oscar with a severe skin condition and an issue with his back legs, which drag when he walks. We rescued Oscar from the shelter before he was euthanized and brought him to the vet. The skin problem turned out to be a serious infestation of mites, and his mobility issues were probably caused by a lack of proper nutrition. He may not recover complete use of his back legs, but he doesn’t seem to be too bothered by it at this point. The vet has treated the mites, and Oscar will spend some time healing in his foster home before he is officially made available for adoption. This guy will truly deserve a good home after all he’s been through.- Oscar
